A look at American foreign policy - the covert training, arming and financing of the Nicaraguan contras as they waged a campaign of terror meant to overthrow the Sandanista government. In “Report from the Front,” filmmakers Yates and Sigel travelled with the U.S. backed Contras from their clandestine camps in Honduras on a raid deep into Nicaragua, and then filmed with the Sandinista Army in the same border region to bring back an in-depth report about the real war.
