  • Q&A or panel discussion following the film screening. 
  • A 40-minute graphic presentation/workshop led by Director Pamela Yates and Producer Paco de Onís on how our films are used to raise awareness of human rights issues, in concert with networks of outreach partners in long-term audience engagement. 
  • One or more classroom visits.

  • Q&A or panel discussion with one or more of the filmmakers following the screening.

Package 3:  SCREENING and SKYPE Q&A

$550.00 total cost

  • A DVD for the university library, with public performance rights, a $350 value.
  • Skype Q&A or panel discussion following the screening.

ACADEMIC SCREENING PACKAGES for FILM STUDENTS:

Package 4:  THE MAKING of a SOCIAL JUSTICE DOCUMENTARY

with director Pamela Yates and producer Paco de Onís
$2,500.00 honorarium (plus travel & lodging)

  • A DVD of Granito for the university library, with public performance rights, a $350 value.
  • An advance viewing of When the Mountains Tremble (with DVD for university Library with public performance rights)
  • A presentation of Granito by the filmmakers, especially designed for film students interested in creating films for social impact.  Filmmakers discuss the making of a ‘social justice’ film from start to finish as well as outreach strategies that increase visibility, education and impact.
  • One or more classroom visits.

Package 5: EDITING and STORYTELLING for SOCIAL JUSTICE

with Editor Peter Kinoy
$2,500.00 honorarium (plus travel & lodging)

  • A DVD of Granito for the university library, with public performance rights, a $350 value.
  • An Audio-Visual presentation about the stages of storytelling and editing for documentary film. This workshop explores the relationship between editing and storytelling; it covers the craft of the edit, the art and the ethical choices that are involved in editing a film about social justice.  More specifically, why we make films about social justice and why they are important within the arena of social change.
  • One or more classroom visits.

*Peter Kinoy is a master long-form documentary editor and an accomplished teacher.  He has taught editing to all levels of students from beginners to masters in storefront workshops, colleges, universities; in the US, Cuba, and Guatemala.

Package 6:  FULL PACKAGE for ASPIRING FILMMAKERS

$3,000.00 honorarium (plus travel & lodging)

  • Screenings of three films on transitional justice, namely State of Fear: The Truth About Terrorism, The Reckoning: The Battle for the International Criminal Court, and Granito: How to Nail a Dictator.
  • DVD’s of all three films for the university library, with public performance rights, a $1,050 value.
  • A 40-minute graphic presentation/workshop led by Director Pamela Yates and Producer Paco de Onís on the documentary filmmaking process.   In this workshop Pam and Paco discuss their experience making films over the last 25 years and how they strive to engage a global audience on issues of human rights and the quest for justice.
  • One or more classroom visits.
